Genuitec has just released two products to make your life easier: general availability of MyEclipse 6.1 Blue Edition and a preview of Pulse 2.0.

Blue has been featured on DZone before at its initial milestone release, and it's now at full production strength. MyEclipse Blue is a light-weight, customizable IDE tailored for WebSphere developers, and it allows users to use open standard technologies for WebSphere and many technologies that may not be available in RAD, such as advanced Ajax support, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Java EE5 and more. Blue is $149, and it is available for a 30-day trial.

If your working in an IBM shop, do you think Blue can find a place on your desktop?

Pulse 2.0 features an enhanced catalog with hundreds of new plugins to choose from. Pulling many of the plugins from Eclipse Plugin Central (EPIC), the enhanced catalog gives users the accessibility and freedom of choice to customize and share their software distributions. Pulse 2.0 a free service. Pulse allows users to build tool profiles and share them with friends, team members or even themselves between work and home.

Also introduced with Pulse 2.0 is “Pulse Freelance.” This optional, value-add service for Pulse allows users to contribute any items to their profiles that are not currently listed in the Pulse catalog (including update site behind company firewalls) and share those profiles with other Pulse Freelance users effortlessly. Pulse Freelance Edition is only $6/month.

With this kind of ease of use, do you think this free service can help you?
