Developers are always looking for things to be made easier. Java EE application development and deployment can be a tricky area, but Oracle's Enterprise Pack for Eclipse will take away the pain.

As the Oracle Fusion Middleware community of Java developers continues to grow, so does our commitment to productivity with choice," said Ted Farrell, chief architect and vice president, Tools and Middleware, Oracle. "The Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse will enable developers to leverage their expertise in Eclipse when building applications for Oracle Fusion Middleware."

The pack is part of Oracle Fusion Middleware and provides support for JEE, JSE, JSF, Web Services, Struts and Database Development, to mention just a few. Giving Eclipse developers the rich web development tools that are provided in JDeveloper is a smart move - and it's free.

Oracle has a long history of participation with the Eclipse and Java communities. The EclipseLink project has been selected to deliver the JPA2.0 reference implementation. They also participate in a number of other projects, such as JSF Tools, JPA Tooling, BPEL tools and the Eclipse Data Tools Platform.

Oracle buy Bea months ago right ? so bea have Bea Workshop which is the best JEE eclipse plugins set I think. So if Oracle owns Bea they owns the workshop too so it's not so dificult to make it free and to put the name 'oracle' before it :) but if i have bea workshop free i will be very happy.

I haven't seen a release date for this anywhere, but it was announced at JavaONE this year, so it can't be too far away

so.. is there some demo on javaone this year about this toool ? is this included in some lections of oracle or somethink like this ?
